Charlotte (2014)

The Chicago crew traveled to Charlotte, NC for Bears vs. Panthers. Half of our flights were delayed and the rest of the country because of an intentional fire at the Federal Aviation Administration in Aurora, IL. When we got into Charlotte, half of the group was wasted and half were asleep. We went out the next night to random bars, we saw Chicago Bears Jay Cutler and Kyle Long on the street, they were not very happy to see Bears fan. One of the bars had a public text message board, it was a horrible call in a bar full of drunk immature football fans. The city was full of Chicago fans, just like the Nashville trip in 2012 but less Southern hospitality in Charlotte. It was finally game day, and we had pregame field passes. Four of us got to go on the field and experience pro football up close and personal. From the field you fell the true magnitude of football, the players are huge and the stadium is even bigger.  After the national anthem, we headed to our seats 180 feet in the air, a completely different view from the field but a fantastic view of the skyline. Charlotte was a good town and a good time, I strongly suggest the BBQ if you’re there. And the Bears lost 31-24. And our flight was delayed on the way home.
